The Best Gift Ever

I was back in Haiti in November making it my 45th overseas trip, encouraging and training Pastors. Having walked in their shoes this always hits close to home. I got to see Haitians that I have fallen in love with over the years, plus many new ones! Five of us went with Project Hope to put on a Pastor’s Conference. 35 Pastors came out, I think it was the best trip ever!

Last night I spoke to a recovery group at a local church and last week to a ladies group on Discipleship. That was a first! The cool thing is that Biblical principles on Discipleship are the same across the board for men and for women!

In all this I am humbled by the best Gift ever. Ironically, Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” John 3:16, maybe the best verse ever says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever will believe in Him will have everlasting life.” In return, the best Gift ever, is to give back in kind! He gave me His life, so I gave Him mine, and I’ve never regretted it. He’s the best Gift ever!

My Grandson Chase (“Chase-ter”) told me, “Papa, this is the best fort ever!” Our grandkids have no shortage of toys, so watching them have fun with these soon to be discarded boxes was amazing.

I loved it that our grandkids had a ton of fun with those old boxes and it was the best fort ever. I sincerely mean this, when I tell you that for me the best thing ever, is to be able to serve God. I absolutely love what I get to do for Him. My ministry is divided between my passion for Discipleship (helping men walk with God), and helping those in ministry, here and overseas. My meetings with men can grow into meetings with them and their wives, and more. Penny plays a huge role in those meetings with her Godly example and counsel. Everybody has “stuff”, so when meeting with others we humble ourselves, sharing our own good and bad experiences, all the while sharing from Scripture what He has taught us and is teaching us.

It is only appropriate to tell you all that last year, though a hard year in many ways, was my best year ever for donations! Thank You for all your gifts that help me to serve Him and help others! We are praying for more monthly givers but are truly amazed at how God takes care of us!

Love to you from us,

Keith & Penny
