Haiti - Trip #1

I accompanied a team from Westwind Church (Waukee, Iowa), to "Mission Starfish", Gonaives, Haiti. The Team’s primary role was to minister to the Haitian people, engaging in relationships while working on building projects inside the mission itself and the surrounding community.
My role was to teach, coach, and encourage the Haitian pastors. You can’t help but feel so humbled at how blessed we are as Christians living in America.
I was privileged to present. We were hoping for 8-10 pastors and more than 30 attended, representing over 25 different churches. I really emphasized discipleship as was modeled by The Lord Jesus in His ministry. To impact and encourage a pastor is to impact and encourage a church family.
I realize as I write this the US is moving away from it’s founding principles, but we also know this truth:
“For no one can lay any foundation than the one already laid, which is Christ Jesus.”
